It is a method developed by Dr. Ali Sezen Ph. D. that aims to support weight loss by combining acupuncture treatment with a special diet program.
Although results vary from person to person, weight loss of 4 to 5 kg per week and up to 15 kg in four weeks may be achieved.
The treatment process starts with weekly acupuncture sessions. During the sessions, thin needles are placed on the body and ear. A strict diet program is followed at the same time.
If you have a weight problem and your health condition is suitable for treatment, the Sezen Method may be appropriate for you. The decision should be made after a physician’s evaluation.
The diet in the Sezen Method is highly disciplined. In the first weeks, only fruit, vegetables and salad are consumed; later, white and red meat are added at specific intervals.
Because acupuncture needles are very thin, pain is usually not felt. A slight tingling sensation may occur.
A session usually lasts between 20 and 40 minutes.
Because the diet is strict, side effects such as weakness or dizziness may occur. These effects are usually reduced with acupuncture treatment.
Treatment duration varies according to the person’s weight-loss goals. It usually lasts from a few weeks to a few months.
To maintain the weight lost with this method, it is important to continue healthy lifestyle habits after the diet.
The effects of acupuncture and diet on weight loss are supported by scientific evidence. However, results may vary from person to person.
It may not be suitable for people who are pregnant or have serious chronic diseases or bleeding disorders. Therefore, a physician’s evaluation is required.
You should always inform your doctor about the medications you use. A plan is made according to this information.
