Dr. Ali Sezen Ph. D.
Born in Karaman in 1954, Dr. Ali SEZEN Ph. D. graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 1980. After specializing in “Acupuncture and Homeopathy” at Sri Lanka International University Medicina Alternativa in 1984, he completed his doctorate at Seoul University International Acupuncture Science in South Korea in 1986.
In the same year, he was elected to the board of directors of Akademia Diplomatique De La Paix (PAIX – MUNDI), headquartered in Brussels, and in 1987 he became a founding member of the Commonwealth Institute of Acupuncture & Natural Medicines, of which Queen Elizabeth of England was honorary president. In 1987, he was honored with a gold medal by Medicina Alternativa at the World Alternative Medicine Congress in Denmark.
In 1988, he chaired the 15th World Medicina Alternativa Acupuncture & Natural Medicines Congress in Spain. In 1989, he received the “Royal Order” award from the International Medicina Alternativa Association (I.M.A.). In 1990, he chaired the Organizing Committee of the World Acupuncture & Natural Medicines Congress in Havana, Cuba. In the same year, he joined the Acupuncture Commission of the Ministry of Health in Turkey.
He became a founding member of the China-based ECIWO Biology Association in 1991 and was honored with the title of “Honorary Professor” by Multan University in Pakistan in 1992. In 1993, he received the “Honourable Pandit” award from I.M.A. and served as I.M.A. Secretary General between 1993 and 1996. In 2005, he served as president of the International Magnetotherapy Association, and since 2007 he has been a lifetime trustee of the International Foundation for Disabled People.
A park named after Dr. Ali Sezen was built in Ankara Umitkoy in 1997.
