EPILEPSY

Epilepsy is the sudden emergence of electrical activity in the brain. Convulsions, loss of consciousness, foaming at the mouth, sensory and motor behavioral disorders are observed. The patient hears a buzzing in his ear during the aura period before going into an epileptic crisis. After the attack, which lasts a few seconds, deep sleep and urinary incontinence occur. We call this grandmal type epilepsy. Sometimes, when putting a spoon to the mouth while eating, fixation in the eyes and loss of consciousness occur for a few seconds. We call this temporal type epilepsy. Extremely high fever and head trauma during childhood are the main causes of epilepsy. Acupuncture may be evaluated as a supportive approach by releasing the dopamine substance.
