MIGRAINE
Migraine is a genetic disease. Pain of varying intensity lasts between 24 hours and 72 hours. It repeats at certain intervals. Pain attacks are mostly unilateral. The pain is throbbing. It starts on one side of the head and spreads to the other area. Patients are sensitive to light. Pain is accompanied by nausea and vomiting. The decrease in the amount of the secretion we call "serotonin" is responsible for the occurrence of a migraine attack. Acupuncture may be evaluated as a supportive approach by increasing the secretion of serotonin and endorphins.
